I just came across some old papers I had written years ago, and found this poem. It's not art, but I found it interesting.
=============
One bright day in the middle of the night
Two dead boys got up to fight.
Back to back, they faced each other;
Drew their swords and shot each other.
A deaf policeman heard the noise
And came and shot the two dead boys.
If you don't believe this lie is true,
Ask the blind man; he saw it too.

I learned this poem when I was a kid. My brothers brought it home from school and I really enjoyed it. Thanks for reminding me if it.
Ag! You mean I didn't originate this poem?! D'oh! And I was so (semi-)proud of myself.
Oh well; I'm glad to know that if I plagiarize something, I plagiarize the best.
Yeah, I just did a quick google and found lots of references to this poem, with lots of variants. One of the favorites has the cop drawing his gun to stab the boys.
Maybe next time I'm fourteen years old and writing down poems I'll cite my source so I don't think years later that I wrote it myself ....
